Recently I was editing a 3d AutoCAD 2008 *dwg model and quickly became frustrated with the ucs constantly jumping around and changing as I was selecting elements… until I found this.

“To temporarily enable/disable the Dynamic UCS feature, press and hold F6, SHIFT+Z, or SHIFT+/ (for lefties).”
