Design Connected vs Evermotion?
Design Connected is cool new piece of software if you do not currently have a comprehensive library and/or the ability or time to produce your own new furniture in house.
Design Connected is a powerful utility that could change the way you design and present interior design projects. With easy access to all your Designconnected 3d models, powerful search option, drag and drop functionality and much more the Designconnected Manager makes it all fun and simple and yet connects you with the latest technologies in the 3d industry . Especially designed to work with Vray render.
Designconnected Manager is FREE to use and you can download its latest version after you log-in to your personal Designconnected account.
The catch is and it is a big one is the cost of the models… they are expensive. For example the following model is 15 Euro for the native design connected format and twice that for sketchup, *fbx… formats…
The design connected application is a interesting package which could have it’s place in some firms but the cost of the models are inhibitive, this product would be alot more appealing if you where able to pay for the manager allowing you to be able to drag and drop your own models.
As a comparison you are able to purchase over 100 high quality Vray ready models from evermotion for 120 Euro, you do not have the drag and drop functionality but do you really need or want this feature?
Another fantastic resource from evermotion are there fully modelled, textured and lit Vray scenes. All you need to do is open the file and push render and they render exactly as advertised, ten scenes for 120 euro is a bargain.
I personally use and strongly recommend evermotion fully textured models and scenes, they are a fantastic resource to quickly improve the quality of your visualisations and allows you the opportunity to pull apart the provided scenes to quickly upskill your team.
