The Bach
Overview:
“The Bach” is a ongoing project designing the renovation of a typical New Zealand bach, at Riversdale Beach. This is a collaborative project with my good friend and director of the self titled company Samuel Curtis Architecture..
Samuel is the design lead architect on this project, I am assisting on the design but my focus is on testing the digital design technologies available. The project will start with the conceptual design in a default install of Revit Architecture 2010. Throughout the project the Revit template, supporting applications and workflows will developed, discussed, documented and available for download here.

Revit:
• Initial project setup, importing survey data, creating a site, true/project north, levels & scope boxes, basic modeling, cameras and rendering.
• Importing sketches, phases (time), splitting the topography, in-place massing (context), using RPC’s, Creating custom RPC’s and rendering.
• Phase material overrides, advanced custom material creation.
• Exporting 3D geometry in *fbx and *dwg formats and the associated settings.
